Phillip — Principal Inspector
Home and Property Inspection combines several of my passions: construction, consulting, building science, and educating others, which perfectly matches my detail-oriented personality (some might even say I am OCD).
My background is diverse. I began my professional journey in accounting, working in both private and government sectors, as well as bookkeeping for non-profits and select clients. Later, I spent a decade in construction, designing and building my own home—an accomplishment I’m particularly proud of, having completed over 95% of the work myself.
During this time, I also served as the primary contractor for a small strata, managing building maintenance and complex systems. I’ve worked on renovation projects for single-family homes and apartments, handling everything from consulting and project management, to doing the work hands-on.
This blend of experience, skills, and passion places me in a unique position to offer something most other inspectors can’t—relevant, real-world construction experience combined with extensive credentials.
Outside of work, I’m a single father living in White Rock, BC, with my two curious and driven boys who constantly inspire me with their eagerness to learn and try new things. I also enjoy hands-on DIY projects, from home improvements, to currently experimenting with 3D modelling and printing.
